Tidewater Beach Resort Guide: Amenities, Parking, Fees and Insider Tips
Este artículo está en inglés por ahora. La versión en español llegará muy pronto.

Tidewater Beach Resort is one of the best-known Gulf-front towers in Panama City Beach, Florida, with private beach, three pools and a long list of amenities. We own two condos on the 17th floor, so we answer questions about Tidewater every week. Here's everything guests ask before they arrive.
Where is Tidewater Beach Resort?
Tidewater sits right on the beach in Panama City Beach, a short walk from Pier Park and the SkyWheel. The resort has about 600 feet of private Gulf-front beach, so you step from the pool deck straight onto the sand.
Tidewater Beach Resort amenities
Pools and relaxation
- Two expansive outdoor lagoon-style pools with hot tubs
- A heated indoor pool for cooler days
- Roman spas, a steam room and a sauna
- A 4,300 sq ft fitness center

Tidewater parking
Parking is in a gated, covered garage across the street, connected to the tower by a skybridge walkover. You'll get the gate code before arrival.
- Height limit: about 7 feet 2 inches. Oversized trucks, duallys and vehicles with tow bars or cargo carriers park in the north rear section.
- Parking passes come with your resort registration (see below).
Tidewater registration fees and wristbands
Every stay requires online pre-registration with the resort, paid directly to Tidewater. The fee is per stay, not per person, and varies by unit size. For our condos:
| Unit | Registration fee (total) | Parking passes | Wristbands |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1703 (1 bedroom) | $39.59 ($35 + tax + card fee) | Up to 2 | Up to 6 |
| 1702 (3 bedrooms) | $67.41 ($60 + tax + card fee) | Up to 3 | Up to 10 |
Wristbands are required for everyone over age 12 and give access to the pools and all resort amenities. You'll pick them up at the front desk.
Check-in at Tidewater
Park in the garage, cross the walkover to the main building and check in with the front desk. Standard check-in is 4:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM. The primary renter must be at least 25 years old, per resort rules.
What about the elevators?
If you've read older reviews, you've seen elevator complaints. Good news: Tidewater has installed brand-new high-speed elevators, with the last two being finished now. Summer check-in and check-out times can still be busy, so arrive a little before or after the rush and bring a beach cart for luggage.
Insider tips from owners
- Pre-register early so check-in is quick.
- Hit the pools in the morning in summer; the indoor pool is a lifesaver on cool or rainy days.
- Catch a free movie after a long beach day.
- Walk to Pier Park for dinner and the SkyWheel instead of moving the car.
- Bring two small coolers for the beach and pool rather than one heavy one.
